Making the most of your board and committee meetings

Trustees and committee members are making important decisions in increasingly difficult times. Time is short and the challenges are many so getting your board meetings right is critical.

Do you get to the end of meetings and feel the time could have been used more effectively?

Do you finding making decisions at board/committee level difficult?

Do certain subject areas get repeatedly left out?

Are you worried that you’re not meeting your trustee obligations?

This network meeting is aimed at anyone who is a trustee or member of a management committee member who is interested in reviewing and improving their practice around their board and committee meetings and sharing what they do with others.

This session will cover:

• Good meeting housekeeping including agenda setting
• The role of Chair
• Techniques for fairly engaging opinions and input
• Effective tools for decision-making
